From July 19th to 21st, 2019, the charming hilltop town of Bertinoro, in the heart of Romagna, hosted its captivating Blue Jazz Festival – “Sounds from the Balcony of Romagna.” This free, three-day celebration blended the soulful sounds of blues and jazz with the rich culinary traditions of the region, creating an enchanting experience for all. Guests were treated to captivating performances set against the breathtaking backdrop of Romagna’s most picturesque terrace. The musical program was complemented by a delightful array of activities: cellar-based aperitifs, book presentations, and of course, abundant opportunities to savour the region’s renowned food and wine. Each day, at 6 PM, wine cellar concerts kicked off the festivities, followed by evening concerts in the town center beginning at 8:30 PM, offering a chance to enjoy drinks and dining in the village’s most captivating locations. Local establishments and celebrated wineries, including Cantina Celli, Cantina De’ Stefanelli, and Tenuta Diavoletto, actively participated, ensuring the entire town resonated with the sounds of music. The event took place in Piazza della Libertà and throughout Bertinoro’s historic center. Note that Romagna a Tavola promoted this event but was not the organizer.
