Rimini’s Molo Street Parade: A Vibrant Summer Celebration

The eighth annual Molo Street Parade, a vibrant fusion of music, food, and color, takes place on June 28th and 29th, 2019. Rimini’s harbor and promenade will transform into a massive open-air nightclub, pulsating with music from dusk till dawn. Internationally renowned DJs will spin tunes from atop fishing vessels moored in the port, creating an unforgettable atmosphere across a kilometer of waterfront. This year’s event incorporates the Holi Dance Festival, a spectacular celebration inspired by the Indian spring festival, featuring a dazzling display of colorful powder—a safe, food-grade talc—launched at timed intervals. The beach near Piazzale Boscovich will host an array of entertainment, electronic music acts, both national and international, and captivating shows, providing a vibrant backdrop to the “color battle.” Impressive stage design, colossal elephant sculptures, and vibrant performances will complete the scene. Following the beachside festivities, the musical parade will commence on the harbor, with fifty DJs manning fifty fishing boats converted into floating sound stages. A significant change for 2019: only the main performance area requires paid admission. True to tradition, local fishermen will once again offer grilled sardines, alongside a diverse culinary selection—vegetarian meatballs, raw fish with rice and vegetables, and fried fish—all served with the classic piadina flatbread. The free Eat Parade street food area, expanding its offerings this year, opens at 5 PM on Friday, June 28th, with food stalls located at Piazzale Fellini, Lungomare Tintori, and the Rimini Lighthouse area. The event unites fishermen and DJs, offering a delectable pairing of music and sardines—the cornerstone of this established Rimini summer event. The eighth edition promises a breathtaking spectacle of airborne color, mesmerizing shows, dynamic street dancers, and family-friendly entertainment.

Friday, June 28th: Eat Parade (Street Food Area) – 5 PM onwards, free entry. Saturday, June 29th: Molo Street Parade – 10 AM onwards, paid admission (€10) for the performance area only. Free entry to the Eat Parade area. Location: Via Destra del Porto, Rimini. For further information: info@riminimolostreetparade.it.
