Rimini Beach Delight: A Romagna Celebration

The Romagna Riviera ignited its summer season early, on April 30th and May 1st, 2019, with a vibrant showcase of hospitality celebrating Rimini’s summer spirit. For its fifth year, the “Rimini Beach Delight” event transformed the picturesque Fellini Square into a lively beach club complete with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and beach towers. This two-day extravaganza offered non-stop entertainment, culinary delights, wine, and fun for all ages. The festival spotlighted key players in Rimini’s summer scene, blending music, trends, taste, and amusement. The Rimini Beach Village program showcased the best of the region, featuring fire artists from across Italy, exceptional local gastronomy, and performances by local bands and singers. Simultaneously, the Palazzo del Turismo hosted a display of local and vintage crafts, complemented by a Cartoon Club exhibition featuring the work of artist Sio. New for 2019 was the “Island of Excellence,” a dedicated area showcasing Rimini’s food and wine production through four distinct corners: Salumarina, Vinamare, Amarcord, and the Rimini Hills Wine and Flavors Route. The schedule included: Tuesday, April 30th: 12:00 PM – Opening of food stalls and local farmers’ market; 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM – DJ set; 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM – Interactive play area for children and adults; 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM – Cooking demonstration. Wednesday, May 1st: 12:00 PM – Opening of food stalls and local farmers’ market; 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM – DJ set; 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM – Children’s entertainment and shows; 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM – Choreographed performance; 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM – Performance by local band The Old Red Bycicle; 9:00 PM – Special effects show by fire artist Toi Ahi, followed by a performance by ‘I Ragazzi del Lago’ and a dance show by Club Latino.
