Cattolica’s “Easter Edition” Street Food Extravaganza

Cattolica’s “Easter Edition” Street Food Extravaganza

From April 19th to 25th, 2019, Piazza 1° Maggio in the heart of Cattolica played host to a delectable street food festival. This momentous event, the largest of its kind ever staged in the town, featured award-winning Italian craft breweries and over 20 food trucks. These culinary caravans brought the vibrant sights and aromas of high-quality, freshly prepared street food to the square, meticulously adhering to traditional recipes and using carefully selected ingredients. A captivating atmosphere, complete with live music, children’s activities, and street performers, transformed the area into a lively, family-friendly space where visitors could savor authentic Italian flavors. The festival showcased a winning combination of gourmet food and the convenience of street food, turning the venue into a bustling culinary marketplace. From Neapolitan pastries and Abruzzese arrosticini to chocolate churros, Sicilian panelle, and Chianina burgers, the diverse menu catered to a wide range of tastes, including vegan, gluten-free, and hearty meat-lover options. This gourmet celebration of Italian and international delicacies was complemented by beer, wine, music, and entertainment for all ages. This coincided with the 47th edition of “Cattolica in Fiore,” a flower and plant exhibition running from April 28th to May 1st. Further entertainment included a massive open-air discotheque on April 24th in the Giardini De Amicis and Via Curiel, followed by Ralf in Bikini on the 25th, a 12-hour non-stop techno, minimal, and house music event on the beach. The same day also offered body painting demonstrations on Viale Bovio. Car enthusiasts could enjoy Ferrari and vintage car gatherings on April 28th and May 1st respectively, both benefiting the Italian Leukemia Association (AIL) and organized by the “Damiano è con noi” team. Location: Cattolica (RN) – Piazza 1° Maggio Area. Hours: 6 PM to 11 PM. Free admission. Note: Romagna a Tavola publicized this event, but was not the organizer.
