Cervia’s Borgo Marina: A Taste of Romagna

From May 16th to September 12th, 2019, the charming fishing village of Borgo Marina in Cervia transformed into a vibrant showcase of Romagna’s rich heritage. This initiative enlivened the area with traditional menus in local restaurants, a captivating artisan market, and a delightful array of regional food and drink. Visitors enjoyed leisurely strolls, immersing themselves in the local flavors and customs. Every Thursday, from 5:30 PM to midnight, Via Nazario Sauro buzzed with activity, showcasing the region’s craftsmanship and culinary artistry. From the historic lighthouse to the modern drawbridge, the event featured culinary displays, artistic crafts, tastings of regional specialties, and authentic Romagna cuisine at the village’s restaurants. June through September also offered evening cultural events at 9:00 PM in Piazzale Maffei, near the Torre San Michele. Special dates included: May 17th-19th (sports events); June 7th-9th (Cervia mussel festival); July 6th (Notte Rosa – Rose Night); August 10th (San Lorenzo celebrations); August 23rd-25th (Cervia GustaLibro – book and food event).
